Quick start
From a signed release to a camera answering on SSH, the web UI and ONVIF.
This path uses a prebuilt release and needs no toolchain. To compile it yourself, see Build from source.
Before you start
Check that your camera is on the supported list. You need a microSD card (FAT32, any size above 128 MB), a way to read it on your computer, and the camera's Wi-Fi network name and password.
Download and verify a release
Get kamoder-<version>-sdcard.tar.gz and its .sigstore.json bundle from the
Releases page, then verify it:
cosign verify-blob kamoder-<version>-sdcard.tar.gz \
--bundle kamoder-<version>-sdcard.tar.gz.sigstore.json \
--certificate-identity-regexp '^https://github.com/<owner>/<repo>/\.github/workflows/release\.yml@' \
--certificate-oidc-issuer https://token.actions.githubusercontent.comPrepare the SD card
Format the card as FAT32 and extract the archive onto it. The top-level folder in the archive holds the card root:
tar -xzf kamoder-<version>-sdcard.tar.gz
cp -r kamoder-<version>-sdcard/. /path/to/sdcard/The card should now contain:
Write camera.conf
Copy anyka_rust/camera.conf.example to anyka_rust/camera.conf and set at least
the passwords. See Configuration for every key.
wifi_ssid='MyNetwork' # empty = keep the network the camera already uses
wifi_password='…'
ssh_password='…'
web_admin_password='…'
onvif_password='…'On first boot the SSH and web passwords are hashed into anyka_rust/etc/ and
blanked from camera.conf.
Start the stack
Insert the card and power the camera.
- AV100: the stock firmware runs nothing from the card. Start it once by hand
(
sh /mnt/disc1/Factory/config.shfrom a shell), or install the autostart patch so it starts on every boot. - EV200: the firmware runs
Factory/config.shfrom the card by itself.
Connect
Find the camera's address in your router, then:
ssh -p 2222 root@<camera> # shell
xdg-open http://<camera>/ # web adminAdd it to your NVR as an ONVIF device on port 8000 with the ONVIF account.
